I received a text message claiming to be from Oriel, stating that I owe over £1,700 in outstanding debt related to Rebel Energy and asking me to call a number to make payment. After Googling the company, I found an Oriel Business website; however, the phone number listed there is different from the one provided in the text message. Because of this, I chose to email the address listed on the official website instead of calling the number in the text, as I prefer to keep all communication in writing. I have not yet received a response from Oriel, but I continue to receive calls and text messages from the other number. I have now blocked that number and plan to call the correct Oriel phone number listed on the website to confirm whether this is a scam.
