Clicked on a message, which completely froze my laptop with a message to call microsoft on the above number, I called and the man tried to get me to give over details of my connection so he could connect to my laptop, whilst on the call I switched laptop on/off twice and then the screen came back on.
I told the gentleman I no longer needed his help and hung up, he then rang back and left a message stating he was from Microsoft and that I need to answer my phone

I clicked a supposedly genuine link for Realtek Audio download and was hit by a massive malware attack. The number it said to call was 08003764833, which it claimed to be a Microsoft technician. I called it and got scammed in a major way. That number is toxic, and BT need to be informed, so they can discontinued it.
