Two calls from this number. 1. Saying from National Crime Agency regarding an investigation into fraudulent use of my National Insurance number and that I need to Press 1 to speak to someone about it otherwise I could be arrested for a serious crime. I pressed 1 and a man answered, I had to explain what the call was about he told me his name but I couldn't hear his reply properly several times, he kept asking how old I am. I didn't tell him and the phonecall was cut off.
2. Caller said that there has been a National Insurance scam and that they needed to check my National Insurance against the Welsh database. I just hung up.
I have learned that no one will contact you by phone about your National Insurance number out of the blue, it is just a scam. Be aware.
