Pretend to be from O2 offering "50% off" tariff, £25 for unlimited everything and a new phone (Samsung or Apple). They then proceed to take your email address and either take your password or ask you to reset your password to something they know (Wilson2424@@ in my case).
They are looking to hijack your O2 account but once that's done, they will go on to "ship your phone", for this they need to set up a new account and so will ask for name, full address, occupation, bank details, card details including CCV, martial status etc etc etc. I'm not sure if they are actually setting up a new O2 account and ordering you a new phone at this point... which you will then be charged for.
In any case once you have given them all of this info, they will tell you that they need to process your order and will put a temporary payment of £35 through which will be refunded once your phone is delivered. They need to get off the phone to do this so they promise to call you back later that day with confirmation.
I suspect you may well get a new phone and a new O2 account, meanwhile they have your old account and your identity to do with what they wish... you will be charged for your brand new iPhone and your bank account will likely be emptied as quickly as they can get away with.
Quite clever, I tried to lead them in to a dead end a few times, but they have multiple paths of attack and just switch to another method when one fails (my ultra long, highly complex password for example).
Wasted over an hour of my life, so you don't have to :-)
